Let us understand with Imagine name: Adisi and her Story.
It was at the very start of her career where she learned this lesson the hard way. She was filled with ideas—innovative ideas! But she lacked one crucial element: discipline. She’d start projects with sheer enthusiasm only to abandon them at the first sign of struggle. Sound familiar?
Then came the wake-up call. She began surrounding herself with mentors, reading about the giants in related industries and noticing a common thread among all of them: they didn’t just have good ideas—they executed them consistently. They had discipline! That was the turning point for her.
She committed to a daily routine. Whether it was setting aside time for learning, focusing on her health or networking. She slowly grew into a more disciplined professional. And She explained trust her, it wasn’t easy. The temptation to give up on new projects lurked around every corner.
And then there were the failures. Amrita said that she remembered her first major pitch that completely flopped. Her heart sank. Instead of feeling defeated, she decided to dissect what went wrong. She called it the ‘massive failure analysis,’ and it became her best tool for innovation! Every failure taught her invaluable lessons that shaped her next move.
The pivotal moment came when she made a conscious decision—never to quit. No matter how discouraging the path may appear, she’d keep hustling.
First attempts? Failures.
Second attempts? Failures.
But with each attempt, she found a piece of the puzzle.
And then, like a rising phoenix, everything began to fall into place. She secured a deal she’d once thought to be impossible. She took on challenges she never imagined. Each step was a testament to discipline, persistence, and the simple yet mighty decision to never quit.
So, here’s our call to all of you: Embrace the struggle. Own your failures. Cultivate discipline. And most importantly, make the unwavering decision to never quit. Your success story is waiting to be written! Let’s share our #journeys, lift each other up, and #inspire the world one #success story at a time. Thanks for reading, stay #relentless

Hey everyone, it’s great to connect with you here on LinkedIn. Today, I want to talk about something we all face in our professional journeys—criticism, rejection, and challenges. I know these words can evoke a mix of emotions, but I’m here today to share my personal story about how I navigated these experiences and emerged stronger, more resilient, and even more driven.
Let’s rewind to a few years ago. I was at a crucial juncture in my career. I had just landed my dream job—at least I thought it was my dream job. I jumped in with enthusiasm, ready to make my mark. But before long, I faced my first wave of criticism. Feedback started pouring in, and it was overwhelming. Some of it was constructive, but there were moments where it felt like a personal attack. I remember thinking, ‘What am I doing wrong?’
Now, I want to pause here for a moment. I think it’s important to remember that criticism, whilst not always easy to digest, is a part of growth. It can feel like a punch to the gut, but if we allow it to, it can also be a catalyst for improvement. So, let me share what I did next.
I took a step back and decided to dissect the feedback. I identified key areas I could improve. Instead of defending myself or spiraling into self-doubt, I put my energy into learning. I attended workshops, read books, and sought mentorship. I transformed that criticism into action— into a springboard towards my personal and professional development.
And just as things started to look up, I faced rejection—again. A few months later, I applied for a position that I was genuinely excited about. I had put my heart into crafting what I thought was the perfect application. But then came the dreaded ‘Thanks, but no thanks’ email. My heart sank. For a moment, I was paralyzed by disappointment.
Here’s what I learned from that rejection—it does NOT define my worth. I realized that every ‘no’ is merely one step closer to the ‘yes’ that is meant for me. I took time to reflect, but I didn’t dwell. I turned that pain into purpose. I wrote down my goals, re-evaluated my strategies, and reminded myself of my strengths. Most importantly, I kept pursuing opportunities and leveraged my network to seek new openings.
Which brings me to challenges—the ultimate test of willpower. Whether it’s a project that didn’t go as planned or an unexpected obstacle at the workplace, challenges are inevitable. What’s crucial is how we respond. For me, every challenge became an opportunity to innovate and grow. I embraced a mindset of resilience.
Instead of seeing challenges as setbacks, I trained myself to view them as opportunities to think creatively, collaborate, and strategize. I surrounded myself with people who uplift and challenge me. We supported one another and celebrated every small victory along the way.
So, if you’re facing criticism, rejection, or a challenge right now, I urge you to embrace it. Use it, learn from it, and let it propel you forward! Remember, each experience shapes you. You are not defined by the setbacks, but rather by how you rise each time you fall. Let your passion ignite resilience in the face of adversity, and harness the strength within you to keep pursuing your vision and goals. Your journey is yours alone. Embrace it!” and a call to action
Hey everyone today I want to write about something that can truly change your life— breaking out of your comfort zone. Yes, I said it! It’s time for what I call the ‘Impossible Hard Risk’—that leap into the unknown that can propel us toward success.
Now, let’s face it. We all have our comfort zones. Comfort zones are, by definition, warm and cozy—places where we feel safe. But they can also be cages that keep us from achieving our greatest potential.
They’re cozy, aren’t they? Whether it’s sticking to the same job, having the same circle of friends, or following the same routine every day—those patterns create a sense of familiarity and safety. But here’s the kicker: real growth doesn’t happen inside those lines. It happens when we challenge ourselves, when we take risks that seem impossible.
“Have you ever felt that pulse of anxiety when thinking about taking a bold step? Maybe it’s a career change, launching a business, or even speaking at an event? That feeling means you’re on the verge of something remarkable. Today, let’s talk about how to embrace these ‘Impossible Hard Risks.
I remember when I first entered the corporate world. Let me tell you, the idea of speaking up in meetings, sharing my ideas, or even taking on challenging projects felt terrifying. I thought, ‘What if I fail? What if I look foolish?’ But then an epiphany hit me: what if fear was holding me back from my success story?
When I started stepping out of my comfort zone, I discovered that failure wasn’t the end. It was merely a stepping stone. Each challenge taught me something new—resilience, creativity, even how to work better with a team. And guess what? It felt liberating!!
Now, let’s talk practical steps: you might be wondering, ‘How do I even begin to take that first step?'”
Accept Discomfort: Understand that feeling uncomfortable is part of the growth process. Embrace it.
Start Small: Challenge yourself to do one thing outside your comfort zone this week—a tough conversation, a new project, or networking with someone you admire.
Set Goals: Clearly define what success looks like for you in this moment. Write it down and hold yourself accountable.”
Remember, every success story starts with that tiny, often uncomfortable, first step.
Think of icons like #OprahWinfrey, #ElonMusk, or J.K. Rowling. Each of them faced the fear of leaving their comfort zones. #Oprah was rejected countless times before she found her voice. Elon took #risks that even his closest allies thought were too far-fetched. And Rowling faced multiple #rejections before #HarryPotter became a #global phenomenon. What do they all have in common? They were #willing to leave behind the known for the uncertain.
“So, how do you step into this ‘Impossible Hard Risk’? Here are three actionable steps:
Recognize Your #Fear: Acknowledge that fear exists. It’s normal! Understanding what holds you back will allow you to face it head-on.
Start Small: You don’t have to leap off a #cliff immediately. Start with small, #manageable #challenges that push your boundaries. That could mean speaking up more in meetings or taking an online #course in something new.
Surround Yourself with #Support: Connect with a #network of people who inspire you—# mentors, #peers, #masters and those who have also taken the plunge. Their #successes will #fuel your #motivation.”
#Embrace the unknown! #Opportunities are often disguised as risks. The only thing between you and your goals is your comfort zone. If you’re #tired of feeling #stagnant, it’s time to shake things up.
#Remember this: every #great #achievement begins with a decision to try. You have the #power to #design your own success #story.
So, are you ready to take that ‘Impossible Hard Risk’? Share your experiences in the comments! Let’s #inspire each other to break through those #barriers.”

Hello, everyone! Today, I want to take a moment to talk about something that cuts across every #profession, every #industry, and every #career level—resilience and self-belief. These two qualities are not just #buzzwords; they are essential keys to unlocking our #true potential for #success in both our #professional and personal lives.
But first, let me ask you this: How many times have you faced rejection or #experienced a setback? Take a second to think about it…
I’ll share a #personal story. A few years ago, I was up for a #promotion that I believed my hard work had #earned me. I had invested #countless hours and setbacks to get to that point. But when the decision came down, I was passed over. I felt crushed. I remember thinking, “Was I not good enough? Did I not work hard enough?”
That’s when it hit me—I had two options: I could let this define my path and my self-worth, OR I could rise from the ashes, channel my disappointment into determination, and forge ahead with renewed purpose.
Resilience is about bouncing back from those failures, and it’s important to remember that everyone faces challenges. It’s part of the journey. Think of the most successful people you admire—they all have stories filled with failure and rejection. What sets them apart isn’t just talent or luck; it’s that relentless spirit to keep pushing forward, fueled by a deep-seated belief in their capabilities.
Steve Jobs was taken out of the very company he founded! Oprah was told she’d never make it in television. J.K. Rowling faced countless #rejections before finally #publishing #HarryPotter. These individuals didn’t let their setbacks #dictate their #futures—they let their self-belief ignite their resilience.
Now, let’s talk about self-belief. The truth is, self-doubt can be a thief—stealing our potential and overshadowing our achievements. So, how do we cultivate unwavering self-belief? Here are three #powerful #strategies that I’ve learned along the way:
1. Celebrate Small #Wins:- Every step counts. When you acknowledge and celebrate your progress, no matter how small, you build confidence.
2. Surround Yourself With #Positivity: – Build a #network of individuals who #uplift and #encourage you. Your #environment plays a crucial role in #shaping your mindset.
3. Learn from #Failures:- Reframe setbacks as #lessons. Ask yourself, “What can I learn from this?” This mindset is essential for growth.
So, as we navigate our careers and personal lives, let’s remember that resilience and self-belief are not just words; they are foundational skills we must cultivate and refine. When the road gets tough—and it will—remind yourself of these tools.
I’d love to hear your stories, your own journeys of resilience. Share in the comments below how you’ve overcome your struggles or who inspires you to keep #believing in yourself. Together, we can create an #empowering #community that uplifts each other.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me. Let’s #rise, #believe, and #thrive—together!

“Hey everyone! I’m Aase Birkhaug, and I’m thrilled to share a little about my journey as an internationally certified artist from Norway. Today, I want to dive deep into what it truly means to be an artist in this ever-evolving world and how receiving prestigious recognition from the International Certifying Authority, or ICA, has shaped my career in ways I never imagined.”
“Art is a powerful medium—it’s not just about colors on a canvas; it’s about emotions, experiences, and stories waiting to be told. As an artist, I have always believed in the need to connect, to evoke feelings, and to inspire thought. And let me tell you, getting certified by the ICA has taken this mission to a whole new level.”
“Certification from the ICA is no small feat. It reflects years of dedication, craftsmanship, and, most importantly, a commitment to continuous learning. Achieving this international recognition means I’ve been vetted by experts who see the value and authenticity in my work. It sets a benchmark for quality and professionalism in art that I strive to uphold every single day.”
“But what does it mean to be an internationally certified artist? For me, it’s about having the privilege and responsibility to create art that resonates not just in Norway but across boundaries. It’s about sharing my culture and my stories with the world and creating pieces that ignite conversations, inspire movements, and provoke thought.”
“This recognition has allowed me to expand my horizons too. I’ve had the opportunity to connect with fellow artists, share techniques, ideas, and inspiration. It’s a massive community, and we are all here to support one another. When you become a part of something larger than yourself, you realize it’s not just about individual success but collective growth.”
“However, the journey hasn’t always been easy. Every artist faces challenges—whether it’s self-doubt, criticism, or the pressure to constantly innovate. But each setback is a stepping stone. “Being based in Norway offers me a unique perspective, influenced by our breathtaking landscapes and rich cultural history. “Hey #LinkedIn #family! Today, I want to dive #deep into a topic that we all encounter but often shy away from — failure. Yes, failure. But more importantly, how it can be our greatest teacher on the journey to success.”
“I remember early in my career, I was so eager to impress and make a mark. I tackled every project with #confidence, fueled by #ambition. Until one day, I crashed. I poured my heart into a presentation, only to be met with criticism. It stung, and I felt like a complete failure.”
“For a brief #moment, I questioned my #abilities. I thought maybe I wasn’t cut out for this. But, instead of wallowing in self-doubt, I pondered a crucial question: What could I #learn from this?
And that’s where I started to see failure in a different light. I began to analyze not just what went wrong, but how I could grow from it. I sought feedback, embraced the criticism, and transformed that experience into a motivation for growth.
“Embracing failure can be a pivotal moment in your career. It cultivates resilience, a critical trait in today’s fast-paced world. Each stumble teaches us something invaluable. For me, it taught the importance of adaptability and the art of listening.
So, I began reading, networking, and refining my skills. I #embraced failure as a #stepping stone rather than a stopping point. And guess what? It paid off. I landed opportunities that I once thought were far out of my reach.”
“Let me share this important insight: Every successful person has a catalog of failures behind them. Think about it. Walt Disney, Steve Jobs, J.K. Rowling — they all faced setbacks that could have broken them. Instead, they leaned into their failures, extracting wisdom that would later propel them to success.
“So, the next time you face failure, remember this: It’s not the end of the road; it’s a bend that leads to greater destinations. #Embrace it, learn from it, and let it guide you toward not just success, but a more #profound understanding of your own #potential.
If you found value in this, please share your own #experiences with #failure in the #comments below. Let’s #support each other in this #journey of #growth and #success. Thanks for reading!”
“Until next time, #remember: #Failure is just the #beginning of #success. Stay curious, keep learning, and let’s #pave the way together!”
Elsie Gabriel, a small-town country girl from West Bengal, India, grew up surrounded by ecological wilderness. Pursuing her Education Honours at Loreto College in Kolkata, she developed a strong foundation for her future endeavors. Today, she is a wilderness outdoors gypsy at heart, having dived in Galapagos, Malapascuya, Great Barrier Reef, Maldives, Philippines, Mexico, Caymans and Bahamas, Havelock and Lakshadweep islands she’s in love with the ocean, who says, “Without blue, there’s no green.” Her passion for marine conservation is greatly influenced by her hero, Dr. Sylvia Earle.
In an age where climate change looms large and the health of our oceans hangs in the balance, few voices resonate as powerfully as that of Elsie Gabriel. Her transformation from a writer and journalist to a dedicated social worker was catalyzed by the devastating 2005 Mumbai floods, a calamity that deeply affected her and motivated her to take action against plastic pollution and marine debris. She founded the Young Environmentalists Programme Trust (YEPT) with a handful of community women, and the organization has since grown to educate students and communities on environmental and ocean conservation. Today, Elsie is a member of the Women Climate Collective and part of the first cohort of Fondation L’Oréal’s Climate Women Champions, promoting citizen scientists, social scientists, and engaging ordinary coastal communities in the fight against climate change.
Elsie’s journey took a pivotal turn when she was trained as a certified climate leader and social scientist for community climate action by former Vice President Al Gore in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This transformative experience ignited her passion for environmental advocacy and fundamentally changed her life’s trajectory. Inspired by the potential for grassroots action, she returned home with a mission to empower youth to engage in climate action.
The Importance of Ocean Literacy
The oceans are not just vast bodies of water; they are the lifeblood of our planet. They regulate climate, support biodiversity, and provide livelihoods for millions. For coastal communities and island states, the health of these waters is synonymous with survival. Yet, as climate change exacerbates the challenges faced by these regions—rising sea levels, ocean acidification, and extreme weather events—the need for a comprehensive understanding of ocean dynamics becomes increasingly urgent. Gabriel advocates that educating youth about these issues is not merely an academic endeavor; it is a necessity for future resilience. “When young people understand the connection between their environment and their actions, they become catalysts for change,” she asserts. She was a speaker at the plenary session of the UN Ocean Conference in 2022, Climate Week, G20 and numerous COPs and most recently at the Climate Week in New York invited by New York Times and Foundation L’Oreal. She has been trained by UNESCO on ocean literacy. Her project on ocean literacy has been recognized as an Ocean Decade Action Plan and a UNESCO Green Citizen initiative. Additionally, she has been invited to contribute to the Venice Declaration on ocean literacy, which will lead up to the UN Ocean Conference 2025. By embedding ocean literacy in the academic curriculum, governments and education departments can equip students with the knowledge needed to advocate for sustainable practices and policy changes in their communities.
Empowering Youth for Climate Mitigation
The potential for youth to contribute to climate mitigation is immense. As the next generation of leaders, they can innovate, inspire, and implement solutions that prioritize environmental health. Elsie emphasizes that careers in the ocean environment sector—ranging from marine biology to sustainable tourism—offer not only opportunities for personal growth but also the chance to effect meaningful change. Through YEPT’s programs, students are engaged in hands-on activities, such as beach clean-ups, marine conservation workshops, and community awareness campaigns. “These experiences not only build their skills and confidence but also instill a sense of responsibility toward their natural surroundings. “, Elsie believes that this connection is vital; “When youth experience the ocean, they form a bond that compels them to protect it,” she explains. As the National Coordinator for Oceans with Climate Reality Leader Asia, Elsie has mentored hundreds of youth leaders on climate action initiatives, further amplifying her impact. Through workshops and training sessions, she empowers young individuals to take on leadership roles in their communities, fostering a generation ready to tackle climate challenges head-on.
Commitment to Inclusive Diving
In addition to her advocacy for ocean literacy, Elsie Gabriel is an advanced PADI certified diver and a member of PADI Aware. Additionally as a certified HSA diver, she helps train disabled divers to enhance their ability to dive, promoting their rights to recreation and happiness. These divers also gain essential knowledge about ocean literacy and disaster management, creating a more inclusive diving community. Elsie is particularly focused on researching and promoting female divers to bridge the gender gap in this field. She has taken a lead role in launching Accessibility Ocean Tourism programs in the Philippines, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Kerala, Havelock islands and the Lakshadweep Islands, ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability or gender, can experience the wonders of the ocean.
A Call for Policy Change
Despite the clear need for ocean literacy, it remains an underrepresented subject in many educational systems. Elsie advocates for policy reforms that integrate ocean education into school curricula worldwide. This approach is particularly crucial for developing countries, where limited resources often hinder environmental education efforts. By prioritizing ocean literacy, governments can foster a culture of sustainability that empowers future generations to protect their maritime heritage. To further this mission, Elsie has authored a book titled Introduction to Ocean Literacy, for which the Governor of Maharashtra has written the foreword, promoting ocean conservation and environmental education. In her advocacy work, she has collaborated with various stakeholders—governments, NGOs, and educational institutions—to promote ocean literacy as a vital component of environmental education. Her efforts have garnered recognition globally, placing her at the forefront of marine conservation advocacy.
Elsie Gabriel’s vision is clear: to create a world where youth are equipped with the knowledge and passion needed to safeguard our oceans. Her work serves as a beacon of hope, illuminating the path toward a sustainable future for coastal communities and island states. As we face the mounting challenges of climate change, the importance of ocean literacy cannot be overstated. It is a vital investment in our planet’s future—one that begins with educating and empowering our youth. In addition to her many roles, she is a consultant for the LCAP and a member of the MCAP. Elsie is also involved with various organizations, including the Ocean Plastic Alliance, Ocean Society of India, APSW, Ocean Quest Global, PHSA, and the Blue Ocean Alliance, and has established the Ocean School India in Lakshadweep, igniting community action in plastic pollution mitigation among island residents especially during the pandemic. She mentors surfers and divers to be agents of change for climate action particularly working with the Lakshadweep Surf Club.
By embracing this vision, we can ensure that the next generation is not only informed but inspired to protect the precious oceans that sustain us all. As Elsie often reminds us, “The Ocean is our shared heritage, and it is our collective responsibility to protect it.” Through her unwavering dedication, she is paving the way for a brighter, more sustainable future.
“Hey everyone! Today, I want to take a moment to talk about a #concept that has #truly shaped my #professional #journey — the #idea that we should never stop learning because life never stops teaching.
Let me take you back to a #couple of years ago. I was at a #pivotal point in my #areer, #feeling #comfortable and even a bit complacent. I thought I knew it all. You know that feeling when you’ve climbed the #corporate #ladder and made #progress? Yeah, that was me.
Then, one day, something happened that completely shifted my #perspective.”
“I was at a #networking event. You know those rooms filled with #successful people sharing their #accomplishments? Well, amid the small talk and polite nods, I met someone who would completely change my #outlook. She was a new #graduate, #fresh on the #scene, yet she was brimming with innovative ideas and perspectives I had never considered.
As we talked, she shared her thoughts on #technology #trends, the impact of #socialmedia on career growth, and concepts like digital transformation. I found myself getting so excited about what she brought to the table.
And that’s when it hit me: I’d stopped learning. I had let my experience #breed #complacency instead of curiosity.
So, sitting there, I decided something has got to change. I immediately signed up for #online #courses, joined #webinars, and even #enrolled in #workshops to broaden my #horizons. The thrill of learning something new #reignited my #passion for my work and my career!”
“Here’s the thing. #Lifelong learning isn’t just a #buzzword; it’s a necessity. We live in a #world that’s constantly evolving. New technologies are introduced every week, and #industries are changing at a pace we’ve never seen before.
By committing to continuous learning, we arm ourselves with the knowledge and skills needed to adapt. Think of your career like climbing a mountain — the moment you stop learning, you start to lose elevation.”
“Another significant benefit of continuous learning is the exposure to diverse perspectives. Have you ever considered how a different field can influence your own?
When I began connecting with professionals outside of my industry — marketers, engineers, even artists — my understanding deepened. I started seeing problems through different lenses. Their fresh take encouraged me to innovate in my own role and think outside the box.”
“Now, let’s talk about practical steps. Learning doesn’t mean heading back to formal education with every new trend. There are countless resources available at our fingertips.
Massive Open Online Courses (#MOOCs), podcasts, industry blogs — the list goes on. Even LinkedIn itself is a treasure trove of knowledge! Find mentors, join discussion groups, and share what you learn. We’re all on this journey together.
And don’t forget the #power of #networking. Like I mentioned earlier, a #conversation can open new #pathways of #knowledge that we might never see otherwise.”
“So, here’s my #challenge to you: #dedicate a few minutes each day to learning something new. Whether it’s #reading an #article, #listening to a #podcast during your #commute, or #engaging with #thought #leaders in your field.
Remember, life never #stops #teaching; it is our #responsibility to #ensure we never stop #learning.
Let’s #embrace this and be the change-makers in our #industries, #showing that continuous #growth is not just possible — it’s #essential!
Join me in this #journey — let’s #inspire each other! What will you #learn today?”
